Soho Project

A complete structured cabling system - copper and fibre backbone - installed, terminated, tested, certified and documented across a basement and three office floors, delivered in two coordinated stages and handed over ready for operation.

The Brief

The site needed a clean, certified cabling infrastructure across four levels: wall-mounted data cabinets on every floor, a fibre backbone tying them together, and a fully labelled, tested and documented system the business could rely on. We delivered it end to end, from second-fix cabinet works through to certification.

What We Delivered

Stage 1 - Data cabinet second fix

  • Second fixing of all wall-mounted data cabinets
  • Cable dressing, routing and organisation within every cabinet
  • Cabinets fitted with organisers, fully dressed, labelled and photographed
  • Preparation for final terminations, coordinated across all floors

Stage 2 - Field terminations & testing

  • CAT6A termination to all patch panels and outlets
  • Wall boxes, floor boxes and ceiling AP cables terminated and labelled
  • Port mapping created and documented
  • Every copper link tested, with results recorded

Active equipment

  • Floor switches installed and prepared for commissioning across the ground, first, second and third floors

Fibre backbone

  • OM3 50/125 multimode fibre with LC connectors
  • Fusion splicing completed with a calibrated splicer
  • Splice enclosures installed in the basement and on each floor
  • Fibre labelled, tested and certified

The Numbers

  • 128 copper terminations - Basement 10, 1st Floor 66, 2nd Floor 28, 3rd Floor 24
  • 4 levels cabled, dressed and labelled
  • Fibre backbone fusion-spliced and certified across all floors

Testing & Certification

All copper links were tested and all fibre was tested and certified, with Fluke reports and full port mapping supplied as part of the handover documentation. Every cabinet was dressed, labelled and photographed.

The Outcome

The structured cabling system - copper and fibre backbone - was fully installed, terminated, labelled, tested, certified and documented, and handed over ready for operational use and final commissioning.

A clean, certified backbone built to standard and documented to last.
