Drink Company Project

A CAT6A structured cabling and wireless project across six floors: shielded copper, ceiling-mounted access points on fully redundant cabling, re-organised data cabinets, and full port-mapped documentation.

The Brief

A multi-floor headquarters needed reliable, certified cabling for a building-wide Wi-Fi rollout, plus a tidy-up and modernisation of data cabinets that had accumulated years of legacy voice and access-point cabling. We delivered the structured cabling, the access-point infrastructure, and a full cabinet refit, floor by floor.

What We Delivered

Structured cabling & Wi-Fi

  • 42 ceiling-mounted Wi-Fi access points across six floors
  • Fully redundant A/B cabling to every access point - primary and backup runs
  • Shielded CAT6A keystone termination to 24-port shielded patch panels
  • RJ45 termination verified to the T568B standard on all endpoints
  • Every wall box, patch panel port and AP run labelled and port-mapped

Data cabinet works

  • Cable identification, sorting and numbering across the building
  • Full cable dressing, routing and velcro management within cabinets
  • Removal of redundant voice and legacy access-point cabling
  • Fan-tray installation for airflow and a full cabinet replacement (lockable door)
  • Redundant patch panels replaced with 1U organisers for a clean, professional layout

Ground-floor consolidation

  • Around 90 loose data cables identified, sorted in sequence and terminated into 4 x 24-port coupler patch panels
  • Sequential patching with numerical order preserved and spare capacity left for future additions

The Numbers

  • 42 access points across six floors
  • 84 cable runs / 168 termination points on redundant A/B infrastructure
  • ~90 loose cables consolidated into 4 patch panels, fully port-mapped

Testing & Certification

All endpoints were verified, all links were patched through labelled 24-port patch panels, and the copper was ISO/TIA certified. A detailed port-mapping spreadsheet was supplied with the handover.

The Outcome

Every access point was verified live and connected over its redundant cabling, every cabinet left tidy, labelled and serviceable, and the whole system documented end to end - a certified backbone ready for a reliable, building-wide wireless network.
