The Brief
Running a modern taxi operation means matching the right driver to the right job in seconds, tracking every ride in real time, keeping driver documents in order, and doing all of it reliably at scale. Off-the-shelf tools could not deliver the intelligence and reliability the operation needed. The goal was to build a dispatch platform smart enough to allocate jobs automatically, fast enough to track rides live, and robust enough to keep running as demand grows. Our job was to architect and build that platform end to end.
What We Built
We delivered Cabrely as a full dispatch ecosystem, with an AI-driven backend and purpose-built apps for drivers.
- AI dispatch engine: intelligent job allocation that matches drivers to bookings based on location, availability, and demand, in real time.
- Cabrely Driver app: the mobile app drivers use to accept jobs, track rides live, and manage their documents, designed to make the driving experience as smooth as possible.
- Real-time tracking: live ride and location tracking across the platform.
- Booking management: seamless handling of bookings from request through to completion.
- Driver document management: drivers keep their licences and paperwork up to date directly in the app.
- Admin and operations: web tools for managing drivers, bookings, and the overall operation.
The Architecture
We built Cabrely as a large, service-oriented platform engineered to run on Kubernetes, so it scales elastically with demand and stays highly available under load. The AI dispatch logic runs as its own service alongside the core booking and tracking services, with real-time communication between drivers and the platform.
Heavy and intelligent workloads, like job matching and demand handling, are powered by a dedicated AI layer, while the rest of the platform handles bookings, tracking, and operations. The whole system is containerized and orchestrated on Kubernetes for resilient, repeatable deployments at scale.
